The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Navarra Pamplona (5-21) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by twelfth ranked Cajarural (9-17) 74-65. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-13. But Navarra Pamplona won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cajarural won last quarter 26-18. Cajarural outrebounded Navarra Pamplona 45-32 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Aja Parham (183-84, college: Boston Coll.) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Polish forward Daria Mieloszynska (188-83, college: Texas, agency: Data Plus Group) chipped in 9 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Croatian swingman Amra Dapo (184-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Maria Begona Garcia (175-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Navarra Pamplona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cajarural moved-up to eleventh place. Navarra Pamplona lost sixth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
