Regular Season Round 27: CFBB - Angers BC 49 68-80

Not a big story in a game in Paris where 18th ranked CFBB (2-25) was defeated by twelfth ranked Angers BC 49 (13-14) 80-68. It looked good early as CFBB took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Angers BC 49 had a 21-13 second period charge getting the lead and CFBB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-80. Angers BC 49 made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded CFBB 34-22 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward SyPir Traore (204-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (194-90) accounted for 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Power forward Mouhammadou Jaiteh (201-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and guard Boris Dallo (193-94) added 17 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Angers BC 49 maintains twelfth place with 13-14 record. CFBB lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Angers BC 49's next round opponent will be Stade Clermont (#15) at home. CFBB will play against Montbrison and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
