The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Chieti (17-15) on the court of sixth ranked Firenze on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Firenze 76-68. Firenze forced 21 Chieti turnovers. Swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Forward Stefano Spizzichini (202-90) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized San Marino swingman Andrea Raschi (200-79) added 19 points in the effort for Chieti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Firenze (10-22) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Comsum.it SI. Chieti at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with 15 games lost. They share it with Casalpusterlengo. Firenze is looking forward to face higher ranked Latina Basket (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chieti will play against the league's leader Trieste and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
