Very expected game in Sant'Antimo where 12th ranked S.Antimo (8-15) was defeated by third ranked Trenkwalder RE (16-7) 80-71 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Trenkwalder RE made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Dawan Robinson (189-82, college: Rhode Island) stepped up and scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) for the winners and guard Donell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Troy Bell (186-80, college: Boston Coll.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) scored 14 points (made all of his eight free throws). Four S.Antimo players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted S.Antimo dropped to the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. Trenkwalder RE will face Assi Ostuni (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. S.Antimo will play against Fileni BPA in Jesi.
