Regular Season Round 24: Union Hainaut - Landes 75-72

Important game to mention about took place in Saint-Amand. Eighth ranked Union Hainaut (12-12) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Basket Landes (12-12) 75-72 in the game for the sixth place. It looked good early as Basket Landes took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Union Hainaut had a 19-9 second period charge getting the lead and Basket Landes was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-75. Basket Landes was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Lithuanian swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) who added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Anais Le Gluher (175-82) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 18 points. Union Hainaut moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nantes and Landes. Union Hainaut will play against bottom-ranked Nice (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Landes will play against Aix-en-Provence (#12) in Les Milles and hopes to get back on the winning track.
