The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (20-4) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (11-13) 89-85. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The guests trailed by 15 points after three quarters before their 28-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Ironi Ramat Gan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for power forward Raviv Pitshon (201-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Dror Davidi (190-84) contributed with 21 points and 4 steals for the winners. American point guard Demontez Stitt (186-89, college: Clemson) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Matan Naor (195-80) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Four Ironi Ramat Gan and five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Ironi Ramat Gan maintains eighth position with 11-13 record, which they share with Elitzur Ramla. Hapoel Tel-Aviv at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan is looking forward to face Hapoel Kfar Saba (#13) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Hapoel Yokneam/Megido (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
