We should mention about the upset which took place in Inowroclaw, where higher ranked Polonia (14-13) lost to fourteenth ranked Sportino (6-21) in a road game 72-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Polonia. Polonia was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 46-32 second half run of Sportino. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Polonia's players. Sportino brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Naturalized Puerto Rican guard Francis Jonathan Han (185-87, college: Fairfield) nailed 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international guard Grzegorz Kukielka (192-83) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Hubert Mazur (190-84) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Pawel Pydych (180-82) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Polonia in the defeat. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Polonia's coach Maciej Milan tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sportino maintains fourteenth place with 6-21 record. Newly promoted Polonia dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Sportino's next round opponent will be higher ranked MOSiR Krosno (#13) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
