Regular Season Round 49: Shinshu BW - Takamatsu FA 94-86

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Shinshu BW's (16-27) home victory over 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (2-42) in Nagano 94-86 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 33-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Shinshu BW made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Shinshu BW outrebounded Takamatsu FA 47-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) contributed with 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. STVn center Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds and American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shinshu BW moved-up to seventh place. Takamatsu FA lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 42 games lost. Shinshu BW will face again Takamatsu FA (#9) at home in the next round.
