Very important is a loss of second ranked Taiwan Beer (16-11) against sixth ranked KKL (11-15) on Friday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by KKL in a tough game 47-55. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. KKL took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Taiwan Beer won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for the former international center Wei-Fang Shang (196-78) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American center Elbert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA, agency: Top Notch Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. International guard Chin-Min Yang (188-84) replied with 18 points and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart, agency: Top Notch Sports) added 6 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Taiwan Beer. KKL have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the second position with 11 games lost. KKL will play against league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Taiwan Beer will play against Taiwan Mobile and hopes to get back on the winning track.
