Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Doxa Lefkadas (13-12) won against at home 14th ranked Pagrati (9-16) 76-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-69. Strangely Pagrati outrebounded Doxa Lefkadas 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. Guard Nikos Pettas (195-81) fired 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Vasilis Vagenas (202-80) chipped in 10 points. Forward Alexandros Raptis (200-81) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Giannis Dimakos (194-94) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Doxa Lefkadas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with OFI. Loser Pagrati dropped to the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Doxa Lefkadas will face OFI (#9) in Heraklion in the next round. Pagrati's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Amyntas Dafnis.
