Date: March 31, 2012
Bottom-ranked Coras de Tepic is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. It looked good early as Coras de Tepic took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. Then Rayos de Hermosillo had a 31-20 second period charge getting the lead and Coras de Tepic was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-93. The former international forward Jesus Lopez (205-83, college: SW Baptist) scored 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists during the contest.
