The game in Ettelbruck supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Musel Pikes (14-11) played at the court of 6th ranked Etzella (11-14). Musel Pikes smashed Etzella 83-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Musel Pikes. Etzella was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Etzella to just 7 points in first and second quarters and to 14 points in first half. Musel Pikes dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Etzella's 26. American-British forward Philip Perre (198-79, college: N.Alabama) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Nelson Delgado (188-80) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Musel Pikes maintains third place in League with 14-11 record having seven points less than leader T71. Loser Etzella keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Musel Pikes will face Residence (#4) in Bereldange in the next round. Etzella will play on the road against Amicale in Steinsel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
