Guaiqueries (#5) were upset in Barquisimeto by eighth ranked Guaros 86-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Guaiqueries won fourth quarter 26-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guaros held Guaiqueries to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Guaros forced 19 Guaiqueries turnovers. Guaiqueries were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch.
