Rather expected game in Lugo where 11th ranked Girona FC (14-16) was defeated by eighth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (17-13) 69-64. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Girona FC won fourth quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Girona FC 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Leche Rio Breogan's coach Pepe Rodriguez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Latvian power forward Rolands Freimanis (207-88, agency: Players Group) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Sergi Pino (196-87) added 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Girona FC. Leche Rio Breogan have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 17-13 record. Girona FC lost third consecutive game.
