Regular Season Round 24: Bolzano - Milano 58-68

Very expected game when 11th ranked Bolzano (8-16) lost at home to fifth ranked Milano (15-9) 68-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Milano. Bolzano was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for power forward Ntumba Madelene Mitongu (180-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Silvia Gottardi (176-78) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Milano players scored in double figures. Power forward Giulia Crestani (186-82) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) added 21 points in the effort for Bolzano. Milano moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Muggia. Bolzano lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Milano will face Borgotaro (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bolzano will play against Virtus Cagliari (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
