Regular Season Round 27: JuveCaserta - Vanoli CR 74-77

A very interesting game took place in Caserta. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 14th ranked Otto Caserta (10-15) to fifteenth ranked Vanoli-Braga (10-16) 77-74 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Otto Caserta won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Vanoli-Braga won last quarter 17-16. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jason Rich (191-86) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Slovenian forward Marko Milic (201-77) accounted for 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Croatian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Otto Caserta in the defeat. Five Otto Caserta players scored in double figures. Vanoli-Braga maintains fifteenth place with 10-16 record. Otto Caserta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Vanoli-Braga's next round opponent will be higher ranked Scavolini Pesaro (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
