No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Lagun Aro GBC (16-11) defeated on the road 11th ranked Assignia Manresa (12-15) 79-74. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Assignia Manresa won fourth quarter 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lagun Aro GBC had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Lagun Aro GBC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Sergi Vidal (198-81) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jimmy Baron (191-86, college: Rhode Island) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88) came up with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Scottish-Nigerian power forward Kieron Achara (208-83, college: Duquesne, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Assignia Manresa in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Lagun Aro GBC moved-up to fourth place. Assignia Manresa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Lagun Aro GBC's next round opponent will be UCAM Murcia (#16) at home which should be an easy win for them. Assignia Manresa will play against Unicaja Malaga (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
