There was no surprise when 12th ranked Angelico Biella (11-15) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked CS Bologna (15-10) 62-53 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-9. But Angelico Biella won third quarter 23-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when CS Bologna won last quarter 13-6. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Angelico Biella to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Angelico Biella 37-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international guard Giuseppe Poeta (190-85) who scored 15 points and 7 assists. Georgian forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86, agency: World Sport Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four CS Bologna players scored in double figures.
