Quarter-Finals Round 3: Kayseri - Samsun 85-61

Date: April 1, 2012
The game was mostly controlled by Kayseri. Samsun managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kayseri dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Samsun's 42. Kayseri had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Nakia Sanford (194-76, college: Kansas, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import LaToya Sanders (191-86, college: N.Carolina) helped adding 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Kayseri's coach Ayhan Avci felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Gokce Dogan (173-86) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Deniz Colakoglu (185-87, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 17 points.
