We should mention about the upset which took place in Varese, where 4th placed Banco di Sard. (15-10) lost to ninth ranked Cimberio Varese (13-12) in a road game 79-85 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-79. Cimberio Varese made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Croatian point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86) who scored 19 points and 6 assists. Estonian center Janar Talts (206-83) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Cimberio Varese players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) added 20 points respectively.
