There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Saitama Broncos (12-31) beat at home higher ranked Sendai 89ers (23-21) 82-69 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Saitama Broncos. Sendai 89ers was better in fourth quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saitama Broncos shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. American forward Jayme Miller (203-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Saitama Broncos maintains tenth position with 12-31 record. Loser Sendai 89ers dropped to the fourth place with 21 games lost. Saitama Broncos will face higher ranked Takamatsu FA (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sendai 89ers will play against the league's leader Hamamatsu Phoenix (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
