Seventh-ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (20-24) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Osaka Evessa (30-14). The visitors from Osaka managed to secure only three-point victory 93-90. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Miyazaki Shining Suns. Miyazaki Shining Suns were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 45-38 second half run of Osaka Evessa. Haitian-American swingman Bobby St.Preux (196-80, college: N.Kentucky, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward O'Neal Mims (208-83, college: Angelo St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Oishi Shinnosuke (174-87) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Four Osaka Evessa and five Miyazaki Shining Suns players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa maintains second position with 30-14 record having six points less than leader Hamamatsu P. Miyazaki Shining Suns at the other side keep the seventh place with 24 games lost. Osaka Evessa will play against Niigata Albirex (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Miyazaki Shining Suns will play against Kyoto Hannar. (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
