Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Lev Hasharon (7-18) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Kiryat Tivon (13-12) 96-90 on Tuesday. Kiryat Tivon looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Power forward Kobi Izik (204-83) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) for the winners and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Grady Reynolds (198-80, college: St.John's, agency: Strategic Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kiryat Tivon and four Lev Hasharon players scored in double figures. Kiryat Tivon maintains sixth place with 13-12 record, which they share with Hod Hasharon. Lev Hasharon lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 18 games lost. Kiryat Tivon will face Ironi Ramat Gan (#8) at home in the next round. Lev Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Beer Yaakov (#2).
