Regular Season Round 25: Elitzur Ramla - Ironi Nahariya 84-96

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Elitzur Ramla (11-14) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Ironi Nahariya (10-15) 96-84 on Tuesday. Elitzur Ramla was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 30-10 charge of Ironi Nahariya, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) stepped up and scored 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Eric Traimel (201-88, college: N.Texas) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Michael Badalov (201-87) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Stacey Moragne (195-83, college: Mass.-Lowell) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Ironi Nahariya and five Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ironi Nahariya maintains tenth place with 10-15 record. Elitzur Ramla at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. Ironi Nahariya will face higher ranked Hapoel Afula (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
