It was an exceptional evening for guard Kwan Waller (180-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Guard Roburt Sallie (196-86, college: Memphis) accounted for 19 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Four Mineros de Cananea players scored in double figures. Mineros de Cananea's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Tayloe Taylor (191-86, college: Livingstone) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Brandon Wiley (198-88, college: Idaho) added 24 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Pioneros Los Mochis in the defeat. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 7-8 record. Pioneros Los Mochis lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Mineros de Cananea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pioneros Los Mochis will play again at home against Mineros de Cananea (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
