Important game to mention about took place in Gent. Eighth ranked Optima Gent (8-17) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th placed Okapi Aalstar (14-10) 65-64 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. Okapi Aalstar was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was an exceptional evening for American center Graham Brown (205-84, college: Michigan) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Michael Jenkins (191-86, college: Winthrop) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Four Optima Gent players scored in double figures. American power forward Nate Fox (206-77, college: Maine, agency: Pro One Sports) came up with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Lithuanian power forward Christopher Young (206-79, college: Michigan, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Okapi Aalstar in the defeat. Optima Gent maintains eighth place with 8-17 record. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Optima Gent will play against higher ranked Belgacom Liege (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Okapi Aalstar will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster and hopes to get back on the winning track.
