Regular Season Round 51: Bimasakti - NSH GMC Riau 70-67

Twelfth-ranked NSH GMC Riau (1-30) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Bima Sakti (11-19) on Thursday. Bima Sakti managed to secure only three-point victory 70-67. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 22-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Bima Sakti forced 21 NSH GMC Riau turnovers. Strangely NSH GMC Riau outrebounded Bima Sakti 43-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Yanuar Dwi Priasmoro (178-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Denny Sartika (175-80) helped adding 4 points and 12 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Boy Damanik (192-76) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Reza Israelli (182-82) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. NSH GMC Riau's coach Tri Adnyanaadi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bima Sakti maintains eighth place with 11-19 record. NSH GMC Riau lost their twentieth seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 30 lost games. Bima Sakti will meet higher ranked Garuda (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. NSH GMC Riau will have a break next round.
