Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Minsk: Minsk-2006 (#1) and Minsk-2006 II (#4). Minsk-2006 II was crushed at home by 37 points 83-120 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Minsk-2006 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Minsk-2006 II's 42 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Minsk-2006 II 45-24 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Justinas Sinica (203-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International forward Aliaksei Trastsinetski (200-86) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Maksim Shustau (184-86) answered with 20 points and 6 assists and Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) added 21 points in the effort for Minsk-2006 II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place in League with 24-1 record. Newly promoted Minsk-2006 II keeps the fourth position with 16 games lost. They will play against Rubon (#3) in Vitebsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Minsk-2006 II will play on the road against the league's second-placed Grodno-93 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
