An exciting game was played in Gomel. First ranked BGUIR-RTI faced 3rd placed Sozh Gomel. Guests from Minsk (11-15) smashed host Sozh Gomel (0-26) 83-53. The game without a history. BGUIR-RTI led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BGUIR-RTI forced 24 Sozh Gomel turnovers. Forward Aliaksandr Hrumiantsau (205-91) nailed 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Kiril Volodkin accounted for 17 points. Four BGUIR-RTI players scored in double figures. Coach Siarhei Varyvodau's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Pavel Bliznets (205-94) came up with 7 points and 19 rebounds and forward Dmirtiy Fedorovskiy (196-93) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sozh Gomel in the defeat. BGUIR-RTI maintains first place in League with 11-15 record. Sozh Gomel at the other side still closes the standings with 26 games lost. BGUIR-RTI's next round opponent will be league's second-placed SBK Osipovichi on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week.
