Very expected game when 6th ranked PGE Turow (2-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Trefl Sopot (6-2) 89-74 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 53-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Trefl Sopot shot 60.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Trefl Sopot especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian-Dutch center Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Trefl Sopot and four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki let to play twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl Sopot have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group A leader, which they share with Asseco Prokom. Loser PGE Turow dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Trefl Sopot will face Zastal ZG (#3) in Zielona Gora in the next round, which may be the game of the day. PGE Turow will play on the road against the league's leader Asseco Prokom in Gdynia.
