The game in Lodz was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Siarka Jezioro (16-20) played at the court of 8th ranked LKS Sphinx (6-30). Siarka Jezioro managed to secure a 7-point victory 89-82 on Saturday. LKS Sphinx trailed by 13 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 27-20 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 82-89 at the end of the game. Siarka Jezioro forced 24 LKS Sphinx turnovers. Strangely LKS Sphinx outrebounded Siarka Jezioro 40-25 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Josh Miller (169, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists and center Przemyslaw Karnowski (214-93) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Siarka Jezioro and four LKS Sphinx players scored in double figures. Siarka Jezioro maintains fourth position in Group B with 16-20 record. LKS Sphinx lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 30 games lost. Siarka Jezioro will face league's leader Slask Wroclaw on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. LKS Sphinx will play against PBG Basket (#6) in Poznan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
