Quarter-Finals Round 2: Jena - MBC 55-78

Date: April 7, 2012
The game without a history. Mitteldeutscher BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) notched 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import Jordan Collins (208-82, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Even 9 points by guard Ermen Reyes-Napoles (185-89) did not help to save the game for Science City Jena. Forward Tim Schwartz (199-87) added 9 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
