Everything could happen in Heraklion at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked OFI and 8th ranked Doxa Lefkadas had identical 13-12 record. This time OFI used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Lefkadas 75-64 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-64. American-Icelandic guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Cypriot guard Andreas Sizopoulos (189-83) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Guard Orestis Matenidis (190-87) replied with 13 points and 7 assists and guard Nikos Pettas (195-81) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Doxa Lefkadas. OFI (14-12) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Arkadikos and Lavrio. Doxa Lefkadas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. OFI will face Amyntas Dafnis (#11) in Athens in the next round where they are favorite. Doxa Lefkadas will play at home against Periko/Arhelaos in Perikos.
