Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked CFBB (2-28) was rolled over on the road by eighth ranked Sorgues (17-13) 87-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sorgues. CFBB was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 20 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Sorgues forced 20 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 44-23 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Xavier Pasut (200-84) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Slobodan Ocokoljic (204-80, college: Weber St.) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Sorgues players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Damien Inglis (198-95) with 13 points and point guard Charly Pontens (187-95) scored 8 points and 4 assists. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sorgues maintains eighth position with 17-13 record. CFBB lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. Sorgues will face Stade Clermont (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against Chartres.
