Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Villeneuve D'Asco (11-14) beat at home 13th ranked Lyon (7-18) 84-76 on Saturday. Lyon trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 25-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-84 at the end of the game. Villeneuve D'Asco dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Lyon's 38. Villeneuve D'Asco had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Sidney Spencer (191-85, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Belgian guard Kathy Wambe (173-81) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists.
