Very expected game when 11th ranked Angers BC 49 (14-16) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Blois (20-10) 90-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. Blois led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 66.0 percent from the field. Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) scored 28 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Finnish forward Ville Kaunisto (204-82) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Blois players scored in double figures. Blois' coach Hugues Occansey used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (194-90) with 22 points and guard Thibaut Lonzieme (195-89) scored 4 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Blois maintains sixth position with 20-10 record. Angers BC 49 at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 16 games lost. Blois will face Montbrison (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Angers BC 49 will play against Orchesien BC (#3) in Orchies.
