There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (17-14) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Caceres 2016 (15-16) 78-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Caceres 2016. Leche Rio Breogan was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Belizean-American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) produced 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caceres 2016 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Girona and Palencia. Loser Leche Rio Breogan keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Caceres 2016 will face bottom-ranked Clinicas Rincon (#18) in Malaga in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
