The most exciting game of round 28 in the ACB took place in Vitoria. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Real Madrid (21-7) to third ranked Caja Laboral (20-8) 67-66 on Monday evening. Real Madrid was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-16 charge of Caja Laboral, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Real Madrid to just 7 points in first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Italian-Argentinian forward Andres Nocioni (199-79) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds. Polish-Swedish center Maciej Lampe (210-85) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Sergio Llull (190-87) replied with 16 points and naturalized Montenegrin power forward Nikola Mirotic (207-91) added 11 points in the effort for Real Madrid. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Caja Laboral maintains third position with 20-8 record having just three points less than leader FCB Regal. Real Madrid at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Caja Laboral are looking forward to face Assignia Manresa (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Madrid will play against Meridiano Alicante (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
