An interesting game for Panathinaikos (22-2) which hosted in Athens one of their biggest challengers Kolossos (16-8). Second ranked Panathinaikos had an easy win 100-57. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Kolossos managed to win second period 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Panathinaikos forced 19 Kolossos turnovers and outrebounded them 37-19 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panathinaikos shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Kolossos' players. American-Polish guard David Logan (184-82, college: Indianapolis) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) replied with 16 points and guard Angelos Tsamis (192-81) added 14 points in the effort for Kolossos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-2 record behind leader Olympiakos. Kolossos at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost.
