Regular Season Round 34: Panteras - Toros 85-94

Bottom-ranked Toros managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time they won against ninth-ranked Panteras in Caracas 94-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Panteras. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But Panteras won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toros held Panteras to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Jesus Urbina (201-84, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Delonte Holland (201-82, college: De Paul) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard R.L. Horton (182-89, college: S.Mississippi) replied with 21 points and the former international power forward Keving Palacios (203-84, college: S.Carolina) added 17 points in the effort for Panteras. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Toros maintains tenth position with 6-26 record. Panteras at the other side keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. Toros' next round opponent will be higher ranked Guaros (#6) in Barquisimeto and it may be quite challenging game.
