Bottom-ranked Nice managed to get a fifth victory on Wednesday night. This time newly promoted Nice won against twelfth-ranked Aix-en-Provence in Les Milles 74-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aix-en-Provence won third quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Senegalese center Jeanne Senghor (191-82) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Estonian swingman Merike Anderson (180-81, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Spanish center Cindy Lima (194-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and guard Natalie Hurst (163-83) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Nice maintains fourteenth position with 5-21 record. Aix-en-Provence lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Lyon.
