There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Arras (10-16) defeated at home 9th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (11-15) 71-67 on Wednesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Charleville-Mezieres won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Arras won last quarter 17-15. American point guard Leilani Mitchell (165-85, college: Utah, agency: LBM Management) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Sabrina Reghaissia (188-83) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest.
