Regular Season Round 32: Lobe Huesca - Menorca 68-65

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Menorca Basquet (20-12) against sixteenth ranked Lobe Huesca (12-20) on Friday night. Visiting Menorca Basquet was edged by Lobe Huesca in a tough game in Huesca 65-68. Menorca Basquet was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 17-8 third quarter run of Lobe Huesca. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jan Orfila (207-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Lobe Huesca players scored in double figures. Power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Menorca Basquet's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lobe Huesca moved-up to fifteenth place. Menorca Basquet at the other side keeps the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Lleida and Navarra. Lobe Huesca will play against league's leader Canarias in Tenerife in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Menorca Basquet will play at home against CB Tarragona 2017 and hopes to get back on the winning track.
