An interesting game for SBK Osipovichi (11-15) which played road game in Gomel against 3rd placed Sozh Gomel (0-27). Second ranked SBK Osipovichi had an easy win 90-53. The game without a history. SBK Osipovichi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. SBK Osipovichi forced 22 Sozh Gomel turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (184-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 9 assists and 8 steals. Guard Ilya Sharipov (197-91) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four SBK Osipovichi players scored in double figures. Center Pavel Bliznets (205-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Yahor Patupchyk (186-94) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for Sozh Gomel in the defeat. Sozh Gomel's coach Andrey Chvankov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. SBK Osipovichi keeps a position of League leader. Loser Sozh Gomel still closes the standings with 27 games lost. SBK Osipovichi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sozh Gomel will play against the league's second-placed BGUIR-RTI in Minsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
