Regular Season Round 32: Groningen - Rotterdam 67-53

Date: April 14, 2012
An interesting game for Groningen (0-0) which hosted in Groningen Rotterdam (4-24). Top-ranked Groningen managed to get a 14-point victory 67-53. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Rotterdam managed to win fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rotterdam 53-31 including a 39-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Groningen made 7 blocks. The winners were led by international guard Jessey Voorn (193-90, agency: Court Side) who scored that evening 17 points and 5 rebounds and Surinamese forward Sergio de Randamie (201-84, college: Houston, agency: R.H.Consultancy) supported him with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Groningen's coach Hakim Salem used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds by the former international power forward Nick Oudendag (210-87) did not help to save the game for Rotterdam. Forward Ralf de Pagter (200-89, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Despite that victory Groningen went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 5 other teams. Rotterdam lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with 24 games lost.
