Regular Season Round 29: FCB Regal - Lagun Aro GBC 77-61

ACB top team - Regal FC Barcelona (24-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Lagun Aro GBC (16-13) 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Regal FC Barcelona. Lagun Aro GBC was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) nailed 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side and Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, agency: Edge Sports) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Andy Panko (204-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: Beo Basket) came up with 16 points and British center Andrew Betts (216-77, college: Long Beach St.) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Lagun Aro GBC in the defeat. Four Lagun Aro GBC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Regal FC Barcelona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-5 record. Lagun Aro GBC at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cajasol. Regal FC Barcelona will play against Unicaja Malaga (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lagun Aro GBC will play against FIATC Joventut (#12) in Badalona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
