Very expected game when 7th ranked Shinshu BW (18-30) was defeated on the road by third ranked Shiga L-Stars (32-16) 82-68 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars dominated on the defensive end, holding Shinshu BW to just 6 points in second quarter. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Yu Okada (184-83) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Shiga L-Stars' coach Al Westover used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) with 20 points and his fellow American import power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 32-16 record having just three points less than leader Hamamatsu P. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 30 games lost.
