Important game to mention about took place in Zgorzelec. Fourth ranked Anwil (5-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked PGE Turow (2-8) 79-76 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-20. But PGE Turow won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Anwil won last quarter 16-15. American power forward Nick Lewis (207-83, college: San Diego) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman John Allen (194-82, college: Seton Hall, agency: Court Side) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. At the losing side Australian-Dutch center Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 16 points and the former international guard Michal Chylinski (199-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 9 points and 5 assists. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Anwil maintains fourth position in Group A with 5-5 record. PGE Turow lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost.
