Regular Season Round 27: Trenkwalder RE - Fileni BPA Jesi 78-65

Lega2 top team - Trenkwalder RE (18-7) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Fileni BPA (13-12) in Reggio Emilia 78-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fileni BPA. Fileni BPA was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-10 charge of Trenkwalder RE, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 25 Fileni BPA turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Dawan Robinson (189-82, college: Rhode Island) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Demian Filloy (198-82, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. Trenkwalder RE's coach Massimiliano Menetti used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) added 19 points in the effort for Fileni BPA. Trenkwalder RE have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-7 record. Fileni BPA at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Trenkwalder RE are looking forward to face Biancoblu BO (#14) in Bologna in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fileni BPA will play on the road against Aget Imola (#13) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
