Regular Season Round 26: Galil Gilboa - Maccabi Rishon 74-67

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Galil. Second ranked Galil Gilboa faced one of their biggest challengers Maccabi Rishon. Host Galil Gilboa (16-8) defeated guests from Rishon Le-Zion (14-10) 74-67. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Galil Gilboa outrebounded Maccabi Rishon 38-26 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Courtney Fells (198-86, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Forward Brandon Bowman (204-84, college: Georgetown) produced 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and swingman Joe Crawford (196-86, college: Kentucky, agency: Priority Sports) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Galil Gilboa maintains second position with 16-8 record having four points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Hapoel J-M. Galil Gilboa are looking forward to face Hapoel Holon (#5) on the road in the next round. Maccabi Rishon will play against Ironi Ashkelon and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
